Dennis Francis asked:

My wife suffers from migraines every month like clockwork. After 15 years I’ve come to understand that these recurring nuisances have kept her and other members of her family in pain. Many people with migraines have a family history of migraine. If both your parents have migraines, there’s a good chance you will too. Even if only one of your parents has migraines, you’re still at increased risk of developing migraines.

Recurring headaches and migraines are painful reminders of how fragile our nervous systems are. Even the strongest body builder can be brought to their knees by a migraine or even a severe tension headache.

Headaches and migraines are still an unsolved mystery to researchers. Many researchers conclude that migraines are caused by functional changes in a major pathway in your nervous system called the trigeminal nerve system, and by imbalances in serotonin levels.

Although headache pain sometimes can be severe, in most cases it’s not the result of an underlying disease. The vast majority of headaches are called primary headaches. Besides tension headaches, these include migraines and cluster headaches.

Migraines are different from tension headaches which are caused by specific triggers. Unlike some forms of migraine, tension headache usually isn’t associated with visual disturbances (blind spots or flashing lights), nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, weakness or numbness on one side of the body, or slurred speech.

Migraine headaches plague millions of Americans daily. In addition to the obvious, there are other common symptoms that accompany the classic migraine headache. During a migraine episode, the most common region of the brain to lose blood flow is known as the Calcarine Cortex. This is the area at the back of your brain that, when stimulated by your eyes, allows you to see. When these nerves are depleted of oxygen, they begin to fire spontaneously.

For example, if the reduction of blood flow is on the side of the brain, know as the temporal lobe, ringing in the ears may result. Most of these symptoms precede the onset of the headache. The sympathetic nerves that control the diameter of the blood vessels rely on specific chemicals to do their job.

These chemicals are called neurotransmitters. Not long after the visual disturbance, the amount of neurotransmitter available to aid in the constriction of the blood vessels is depleted.

This will allow the sympathetic nerves to fire at a higher rate than normal leading to vasoconstriction and potentially, a migraine headache. Because the function of the cerebral cortex is under the direct influence of the spine, it is imperative to address spinal abnormalities as the ultimate source of the migraine.

The nature of headaches may still be a mystery to researchers but we are aware of their triggers. Common migraine triggers may include:

Hormonal changes
Medications
Intense physical exertion
Foods
Stress
Sensory stimuli
Changes in wake-sleep pattern
Changes in the environment

If you find that your headaches are interfering with your daily life, consult your medical practitioner for relief. Have a thorough examination to ensure that there are no hidden conditions causing your pain.

Buy tramadol Site

Lana R. Howard asked:

Congratulations! Pregnancy can be a wonderful time for migraine sufferers as many women notice their migraines significantly diminish during their second and third trimesters. Unfortunately, an estimated 15% of women also notice an increase in migraines in the first trimester. This increase is due primarily to rapidly escalating levels of estrogen and other metabolic changes within the body. If you are planning a pregnancy, make sure your doctor knows right away.

Why is this? Most medications are simply not safe to take if you may be pregnant – especially those for the treatment of migraines like triptans (prescription medications which can stop migraine attacks.) If you are currently taking prescription medications for the treatment of migraines and become pregnant – your baby could be at risk. Before you plan on trying to get pregnant, it is very important to have a sit-down discussion with your doctor to determine which if any of the drugs and supplements you take are not safe for your baby.

Do not make the mistake of assuming that over-the-counter medications are safe just because they do not require prescriptions. Even over-the-counter drugs like Aspirin and Advil (lung development) carry risks of birth defects. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is approved for periodic use (unless told otherwise by your doctor), which is an option, but in general over-the-counter pain medications are seldom effective at reducing migraine pain. Over-the-counter pain medications have a better track record with tension headaches and body aches. No matter what, be sure to limit use and follow all recommendations on the product label. Acetaminophen is toxic in high doses and people die every year from over dosing on a medication they assume to be unconditionally safe.

The best course of action is to be very diligent when it comes to trigger avoidance, as this is your best chance at avoiding a migraine. This means you will want to be extra strict about managing stress, eating regular healthy meals (without triggers,) and keeping a regular sleep schedule. Go ahead and use herbal tea such as ginger for your nausea but make sure you absolutely avoid feverfew as it is not safe for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Also, this may be a time to consider trying acupuncture or biofeedback, as these treatments are considered safe for pregnant women.

Any women who is pregnant should know that all medications on the market are divided into a “pregnancy risk” category ranging from A, B, C, D, and X by the Federal Food and Drug Administration (here in the United States.) Only drugs in category A have been proven to be safe. Drugs in categories B and C show uncertainty either towards the positive or negative, and categories D an X show positive evidence of fetal risk. This information is updated all the time. Be sure to research any medications you are using or thinking about using for the latest information.

Some abortive medications like Fioricet and Lortab can still be used sparingly. Triptans should not be taken at all during pregnancy (unless prescribed by your personal doctor and only if he or she knows you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant) as the effects of these drugs on developing babies are still unknown. Be sure to speak with your doctor and see if the two of you can work out a plan that works for both of you.

Note: Women who experience severe morning sickness may also experience more migraines due to dehydration. Your doctor may be able to write you a prescription for intravenous fluids, which can be administered for you if needed.

Butalbital APAP Caffeine

Josh A Harding asked:

If you are looking for migraine headache relief and are stuck on taking painkillers, you need to know that there are many other options available to you that can frequently give better results than pain pills. One of the biggest mistakes many people make is assuming that no other treatment besides medication can relieve migraines. Having this opinion may cause you to overlook various treatment options that will work better, have longer lasting benefits, cause fewer side effects, and be safer than painkilling medications.

Most people think that the best thing to do when they get sick is to visit a doctor. If you take this approach when treating migraine headaches you will end up with one of three results. First, you may find that your pain goes away, at least for a period of time. Second, you will notice no difference at all. And third, the medication you take will cause an increase in the intensity of the headache pain or other side effects that can often be worse than the headache pain they were created to relieve. This can leave you totally frustrated without a clue as to what to do next in your quest for pain relief.

If you would like to relieve your migraines with the utmost success there are several things that you can do. Migraines are triggered by many things and you should do whatever you can to identify the cause or causes. Discovering the root cause of your migraine attacks can help you reduce the pain or eliminate the attacks altogether. Most medical doctors will only prescribe medication for the symptoms, but will do nothing to help you find the root cause. However, there are several problems using this approach.

Painkillers are only used to treat symptoms and will never result in long term help. Even when pain pills produce the best possible results they will only be temporary. They mask the pain, but don’t deal with what’s causing the pain. This means that the medication may relieve some pain this time, but it won’t do anything to stop the next migraine attack. In fact, it may actually cause the next migraine attack. Two-thirds of all chronic headache sufferers will experience headaches as a result of taking too many painkillers. Rebound headaches are caused from taking painkillers and are an extremely common headache type. So instead of relieving the headache, the painkillers are actually causing it.

In addition to causing headaches, analgesics can also increase the intensity of the headache pain. Plus, they can also cause side effects that sometimes turn out to be more serious than the headache disorder. And even when they relieve the pain as intended, they can still leave you with other unpleasant sensations such as feeling groggy and exhausted. They can also cause other common side effects like gastrointestinal disturbances.

Natural treatment approaches are much safer than painkillers, but they have many additional benefits. They are frequently more successful at relieving pain and will do it without causing many side effects that can occur from taking drugs. Plus, as an added benefit, some natural forms of treatment can also eliminate future migraine attacks or reduce the intensity of the pain, something drugs cannot do. If you are tired of the drug approach for treating headaches maybe it’s time you investigated a few safe and natural options.

Buy Fioricet Online

Ian Mason asked:

We’ve all had garden variety headaches from time to time. Getting sleep, drinking water, or taking aspirin or Tylenol lets you squash these “tension headaches” (as doctors call them) quickly and easily.

But if you suffer from severe or chronic tension headaches, you know that headaches can take over your work and family life. A study by the American Headache Society shows that 70% of chronic headache sufferers have significant problems with daily functioning because of the headaches.

Migraine sufferers have symptoms in addition to headache; they may spend days each month in a darkened room because the pain and light-sensitivity are unbearable otherwise.

Fioricet: A New Option

Fioricet is one of the drugs that researchers have developed to manage headaches. It has been found to be effective for tension headaches. While studies haven’t shown it to be effective for migraine sufferers overall, some people with migraines seem to find it helpful as well.

Fioricet gets its effect from three different ingredients that attack different “parts” of your headache, just like a good laundry detergent has different ingredients to tackle grease, odors, and dirt.

So how does the dynamic trio work?

Fioricet has three parts, two of which may be old friends:

Butalbital

Acetominophen

Caffeine

Butalbital is a barbiturate; like other barbiturates, it has a relaxing effect. Butalbital will help you relax and make you feel a bit drowsy, which seems to help with tension headaches.

Acetominophen is a drug that you may recognize as the active ingredient in Tylenol. It can help with pain relief especially when combined with a relaxant.

Caffeine gives you the “buzz” that you may feel after drinking tea, coffee, or colas, or eating chocolate. Caffeine helps to reduce blood flow to the brain. Many scientists believe that “too much” blood flowing to the brain is part of what causes chronic tension headaches, so caffeine can reduce that effect.

Fioricet as part of your pain-management system

As headache sufferers, anything that might help get our lives back to normal sounds like a God-send. But there a couple of questions you should ask yourself before talking with your doctor about a prescription

o Do I have migraines? If you don’t know, talk about your symptoms with your doctor before deciding that Fioricet is a good fit for you.

o Is operating heavy machinery or doing a lot of driving part of my daily life? If you take a little too much Fioricet of if you’re very sensitive to barbiturates, it can create the feelings and behaviors of someone who has had too much alcohol. Being “drunk” is not a good mix with operating a crane or driving carloads of kids to school, soccer practice, and the library!

o Do I need a pain-killer at least once a day? Fioricet can make you dependent on it. Dependence can lead to “rebound headaches” (headaches as the drug leaves your system) and even more serious health consequences. Your doctor might suggest using Fioricet as a “back-up” medication – to use it for the days where your regular medication doesn’t work. And if you’ve previous experienced dependence on another drug (including alcohol), this medication is not for you.

I’ve Thought It Over, So What’s My Next Step?

Take the prescription to your local pharmacy or on-line drug store so it’s ready for your use at the sign of the first stubborn headache. Discussing any problems or side effects like dizziness or drowsiness with your doctor will help you manage this drug and can make it part of your plan for a pain-free life!

Pain Management

Douglas Hanna asked:

This article contains valuable information about two of the symptoms that can accompany headaches and explains what each is. It also discusses the possible causes of these symptoms and stresses the importance of discussing these with your healthcare provider. So be sure to read clear through to the end of this article so you don’t miss any of this important information.

Headaches are bad enough by themselves

When headaches are mixed with other symptoms such as dizziness or vertigo, they can be terrible. And headaches are bad enough as it is.

For example, headaches accompanied by feelings of dizziness can be very frightening. However, this could be a symptom that will help you get the right diagnosis and the proper treatment.

What exactly is dizziness? The word “dizzy” describes actually two different feelings. The first is feeling light-headed and the second is called vertigo. If you want a correct diagnosis from your healthcare provider, it is important that you understand the difference between the two.

Is the room spinning

Do you feel as if the the room is spinning or moving around you even when you know it isn’t? Then this is vertigo. Vertigo is the feeling that objects are moving around you when they are actually stationary. On the other hand, light-headedness means that you feel faint or as if you might pass out – but you don’t feel like the room is moving or spinning.

The two mean different things

Depending on which type of dizziness you are experiencing with your headache, it can mean different things. Naturally, to get a specific diagnosis, you’ll have to talk to your doctor

However, here are a few things that can cause this problem.

For example, migraine headaches can cause sensory problems such as vertigo. You may feel like you have a hard time walking or you may even fall. However, your dizziness could also be caused by problems in the inner ear such as a sinus infection coupled with an ear infection.

What causes the feeling light-headed?

Feeling light-headed can be the result of vascular problems such as changes in your blood pressure. It can also be caused by fluid in the head causes by allergies, a cold or the flu. In addition, both headaches and dizziness can be caused if you become dehydrated.

If may not be serious

You may not have something seriously wrong if you are feeling headache dizziness. Your healthcare provider will be able to determine what the exact cause of the problem and be able to deal with it. So be sure to pay him or her a visit. Occasionally, these symptoms can mean that something more serious. Tests such as x-rays and MRIs can Stress and anxiety can also cause these symptoms. help diagnose the issue.

Whatever you do, don’t ignore the problem. Getting help from your healthcare provider can help you to feel better and return to normal activity sooner.

Buy Drug Tramadol Online
